What a different feel between the color and black and white. Almost like they are 2 different pictures!
As for explore. I'm not sure anyone fully knows how the magic donkey works. Nearest as I can tell it uses an algorithm that looks at you're relative comments, views, favorites and galleries your photo has on a given day. This is then compared to the relative score of the other photos uploaded over a 24 hour period and the top 500 are sent to explore. Then a random selection get cycled through frontpage. Thanks my guess anyway. I'm sure it's more complicated than that.
Maybe every 6 months the "relative score" resets?
