After Burn

The fire of 2003 on Mt. Lemmon north of Tucson left large areas completely scorched and still not recovering after 7 years, like this one. It was dizzying to the eye and I tried to get that feeling in this distant shot.

The aftermath of a wildfire is an amazing sight. I will look much different in a generation. Great shot Diana, you've shown the scene very well!

oh, we have scenes like this in greece where we also have lots of forest fires... always difficult to look at. you've done a great job though "arranging" the lines for an effective compo!

After burn is always scary, but it somehow always seems to yield new life...

We have far too many of these fires in Greece - sometime the sky is almost black and the ash rains down on us here in the city. Its just sooooo sad ...

Excellent shot! We have huge areas similar to this from fires. One fire went within 100 feet to our cabin years ago. Trees are still charred and standing.
