Loving Memory

This is another Stanwood, WA "landmark" just south of the main rural route through town. Like a previous post, R.I.P., it is a still used farm structure that has been covered with memorial rural
graffiti. I understand that this barn has been painted over now. I am glad that I composed this image before it was gone forever. I will verify when I can.

Cool building and a really nice capture. I think I like the closer crop better though, not only because the writing is easier to read, but because the frame is more fully filled with interesting stuff.

Those guys and girls have put a lot of time and effort in that. It's a variation on the photo of the couple looking at the cow looking at the painting of the bull? This is you expressing or reflecting on expressions or reflections of people concerning a barn. I'll be on the look out for a Dutch version (shouldn't be too difficult: my youngest son has been arrested twice for his graffity "art" - only our barns are not that big).

Thanks all for the lovely comments. The close up is to show what it would look like closer to the size that I will eventually print this image. In that case all the writing will be legible.
Andre' I think your son might be a budding artist. Best get him a camera!

Sorry for being late, it's getting out of control at work lately :)
I like the shot very much, very well composed and quite unusual. So it's interesting for this reason too! Cheers

"Budding artist"- had to look that up. I think my oldest son is the budding artist (his girlfriend owns a decent camera), my youngest son is more a commercial type of guy and used grafiiti to get his "tag" into the world :-)

This barn is such a landmark! I noticed it was freshly painted over last weekend - wonder how long that will last?! :o)
