I visited a haunted, abandoned house today on a photo excursion.
It's really a very interesting experience, walking around a place like that. There's so many stories within the walls, so much history in every broken shard of glass.
You can almost feel the presence of the former residents around you, as though they never left. They might not have died there, but they left a part of themselves behind.
It's like every horror movie I've ever seen. Turning corners and not knowing what you will find. Feeling the presence of someone behind you, and when you turn around, nothing is there. Hearing the creaking of steps above you, even though you know no one is home.
It's an interesting feeling, to visit an abandoned place like this. I don't think I'll forget it anytime soon.
