HAPPY EASTER

HAPPY EASTER

Hello Dear Friends,

Among the meanings of Easter is that with the Risen Christ we are privileged to enjoy a fresh new life. The old things have gone away…all is made new…what does that mean? Well, of course it doesn’t mean that we should suffer a psychological split. What it means as I see it is to simply open up to life and love with hearts as innocent as those of kids and with minds as wise as those of old experienced people. Realizing the depth and height, the width and length of what really happened at Golgotha two millenniums ago we may feel totally grateful for all the unbearable sufferings that Lord Jesus Christ voluntarily endured for the sake of me and you and having reached that level we may as well give thanks to God, Who through the untold agony of His entirely innocent Lamb, He eventually managed to save us a glorious ever-joyful eternity.

I believe there is a child inside every one of us regardless of the “physical age” issue. So in the simplicity of innocent children and while pondering upon past experiences of the last months and maybe beyond, let us try to see things like kids enjoying a tour in this toy train. It’s true that in real life not all the stations or terminals are pleasant as is the case here but my philosophy has always been to keep the focus ahead while revising the history not in order to harbor hatred nor to dwell on negative feelings but rather to benefit from mistakes, learn more from life, forgive others’ trespasses and be ready for a better performance of yet a more colorful tomorrow.

It is so embarrassing that I haven’t sent Easter Greetings yet nor have been able to find time to present some spiritual photograph here on Flickr as I’ve been so busy with my family and will be so over the coming days too. I just wanted something simple and cheerful to share with you and there is nothing simpler and more cheerful than a capture simply representing childhood in full colors. So this is a humble attempt to make you happy and is dedicated to all of you my precious Flickr friends and contacts and to all who visit my stream from outside the Flickr community as well…I sincerely wish you all a very HAPPY EASTER.

CHEERS!

NB: This is a photograph I took at al-Zarwa Park in Baghdad this spring. There were bars surrounding the toy rails and moving a bit back would put the fence in picture which I didn’t want to include in the foreground. So I believe this was the best composition/perspective possible.
