The fireworks were great, but IMO the spotlights were amazing. Its too bad they didn't use them more to light up the smoke.

Imagine if these became a standard feature on the bridge. Better yet they could light them off every Friday night with the traffic still moving on the bridge. One can only dream...

In the end, the experience made the journey more than worthwile. How often do you see the Golden Gate Bridge engulfed in a wall of fire or bathed in the glow of disco lights? This coming Fourth of July has a tough act to follow.

I was about to pack up and hike back when this massive line of cars showed up at Conzelman. At first I thought it was just the people leaving the event, but then some of the cars would turn around and go back up Hawk Hill. They continued going up and down the hill until 2am. Very odd considering I watched them lock the gates at 10pm.

Would have gone for a much longer exposure (like this one) if I had known they would keep circling for so long.
