Spiderweb bee quilt - so far

Look at this!!!
If you notice, the green bits on the fussy cut centres are different so i will be alternating them.
Not a great pic, but you get the idea!

I love the centres, cheery flower faces. Reminds me of a Children's TV programme when I was a little girl (in the dark ages of black & white TV). Called Bill & Ben the Flowerpot Men who had a friend called 'Little Weed' very like your flower-face centres!

It looks great! What a clever idea to put a flower in the center- you are the first person I've seen create a spiderweb block that way!!

This quilt just keeps getting better and better. It took me a couple of minutes of looking at an enlarged picture from the blog to understand what you meant about the greens. I love interesting little differences like this in quilts. It adds to their charm :)

I am so glad you posted a photo of the blocks you have so far. I have been enjoying sewing some extra blocks for my March quilt. I am ready to pull out some Spring projects I have never finished. I just can't seem to set this one aside. I love how your Spidy is coming along!
Idea: you could embroider hearts in the two green colors on the alternate blocks. It would add some interest and texture to the quilt.

what a stunning look, and clever idea. Makes one think how much fun pinstripes would work in the center. I have a feeling this is going to spark another level of creative spidy blocks.

How much yardage would you need to do about 8 blocks of the the center flower fabric, thanks

debaker1 - i have cut the fabric up so i don't know how many flowers there is across the width. I would probably suggest somewhere around 1 yard.
