Heirloom Postage Stamp quilt

    Newer Older

We inherited this from my husband's grandmother when she passed away. I'm trying to convince my husband it would be so much better out and in use than tucked away in a cedar chest.

This is a twin size quilt. The tiny squares are all, well, postage stamp size. Each block contains 30 squares. Hand quilting. It takes my breath away.

I've been saving scraps in the hopes of someday finding time to do a modern take on this.

It's a shame for this stunner to packed away. If your hubby doesn't want it used..maybe you could just display it? The quilting is lovely.

I have a postage stamp quilt from the 40's made in Roswell, New Mexico. Anyone know where I might sell it in Ohio? I live around Dayton. Ann

We just bought an elderly lady's home that had passed away. Her family left all her belongings as they didn't want or need them. I have inherited a quilts (GASP that they would be left) One is made up of tiny hand pieced hexagons. Can't decide what to do with them. Donate to a society in the small town, library, or see if they can be cleaned and just keep them... OUT!
