Violet's string quilt - top finished!

    Help!!

This sweet quilt needs a name! Suggestions?

Also, suggestions on quilting? I'm thinking a meandering stippling but I've never done it before and I'm nervous to do it on my daughter's baby quilt.

LOVE!!!!!! Stippling would be pretty, I think vertical lines would look great against the angled strips

i think vertical lines would be nice. the fabrics could really shine that way.

I think it looks like "Peaches & Creme" :-) Its lovely!

I also vote for free-motion stippling... Here's a good post (and video) on FMQ

and be sure to practice practice practice on a few small quilt sandwiches... makes all the difference! Good luck!

Beautiful! Love the sunny colors! Reminds me of my favorite time of day- late afternoon in winter when the sunlight is lemony-orange yellow.

My string quilt had the same "how do I quilt this darn thing" dilemma. Since I am nowhere near stippling talent yet, I did random crooked lines. That way, nothing had to line up just right, and it was SO quick to do!
That said, this one looks far too dainty for that look, I think. So I'd go for the stippling. Or a whole boatload of diamonds w/in diamonds, but that could get frustrating pretty quickly, I'd think. Hmm...

      I love the colors!!!!

This is so pretty! I agree with Holly: definitely reminds me of sorbet/sherbert. And I think stippling would look lovely. I haven't attempted that yet either, but I plan to try it out on a doll quilt first. Looking forward to seeing the finished product!

Ahhh... my favourite colours! Just beautiful. How about "Heart Strings" for a name? As for quilting, I think I would be inclined to go with something straight-lined rather than stippling. Maybe even just evenly spaced diagonal lines all in one direction, or double diagonal lines (i.e. two lines close together, then a space of say an inch, then another two lines).

How about calling it "Orange Slices" ? I don't think I would stipple it either - diagonal lines would be good, maybe?
