Strobist stuff: Norman 24 24 power supply and 1 LH2000 head in a 4'x6' Photoflex Softbox set at about 400ws. powered by a Honda 2000 generator. Used a ABR800 Ringflash as on axis fill. Wet the asphalt with a water-hose to darken it and create some light reflections. On Adonis also used a Canon 580EX II on stand to camera left and slightly behind him. Canon 1Ds III, 50mm at F/11. Used Pocket Wizard Plus II's, Sekonic L-758DR Meter.

Strobist Stuff: Canon 1Ds Mark III, 24-70mm zoom at 50mm, one Norman LH2000 head in a 3x4 softbox above camera, ISO 100, f-11, two 580EX II's on each side and behind subject manual mode at1/8th power. Triggered by Pocket Wizard Plus II's. Meter Sekonic L-758DR.

Eric is an Engineering Manager and is being featured in a company magazine next month. His office was a bit small and not very conducive for a good portrait so I used a conference room where Eric conducts a lot of his work.

Canon 1Ds MkIII with a EF24-70mm f/2.8L USM lens, on camera left I used a 24x32 softbox with a 580EX II speedlite, another 580EX II on a small light-stand on top of the table to camera right with a 6" round 30º grid attached with a small bungee cord, third 580EX II outside of the conference room with colored gel lighting the frosted panes of glass. All strobes trigered with Pocket Wizard Plus II's.

On Jennifer's wedding day, we were lucky to have a nice ocean breeze from the Santa Monica beech to cool down the day a bit.

All available light. With Jen in the shade, I turned her towards the a bright open area so the soft directional light from the sky brightened her front ever so slightly. Just a touch of direct sunlight skimmed her veil on the right. Canon 1Ds Mark III, EF24-70mm f/2.8L USM lens at 2.8. Sekonic L-758DR meter.
