Joseph and Susanna Dickinson Hannig Museum

During our November 2011 visit to Austin, Mike and I visited the Joseph and Susanna Dickinson Hannig Museum near Brush Square Park. The house was built by Joseph Hannig for his wife, Susanna. Susanna was known as the ''Messenger of the Alamo'' as she was one of the few survivors of the bloody battle. This bedroom set represents the handiwork of Joseph Hannig, a talented furniture maker.
