This is the last of my cherry blossoms photos from the park. Most of them were taken while looking up into the tree, so the blue you see is the sky peaking through the blossoms.

Wow, the weekend's pretty much here already! Didn't that just happen a few days ago?

I couldn't resist adding a slight bit of texture to this.

It was captured in the same place as the previous photo. I thought about adding the same description, but I didn't wanna be redundant.

Went for a stroll in the park. Amazing weather. I was pleasantly surprised to come upon this flowering tree. I suppose at some point in my life I should've figured out what this flower is, but I still don't know... :) Anyway, I notice these trees always seem to flower first right out of the winter season. So I spent a few minutes just collecting a few shots trying to get the composition and colors right.

After getting these shots while enjoying the cool breeze and wonderful, warm sunlight, we threw around the Frisbee and football. Reminded me how out of shape my throwing arm is, but I'm getting it back slowly. .

Okay, I'm about to ramble..... Ready?

Saturday (2/25/12), spent a few hours outside at a park with a friend, walking and trying to gather some nice nature photos. Magnificent weather..

Sunday, I ran 5 miles for the very first time and walked about another half mile. My sister-in-law is a marathon runner and I usually go with her to go running. For some reason, I didn't get tired or start hurting at all this time. This is the first time I've run so long that my legs actually started getting tired and I started feeling kinda cold inside (and my stomach became slightly nauseated). This has happened once or twice before on 10+ miles of mountain biking, so I knew I needed to stop. Every other time I stopped running was because I was just tired mentally and ran out of endurance physically (although my legs never really got tired). The 1/2 mile walk back was so awesome, the wind was blowing hard, the sun was shining full power, the weather was high 50s F (or low 60s F). I felt so good the rest of the day. Later in the day I did take a 1 hour nap . Good stuff. Great weekend. Sad it's over. :)

TOLD you I was gonna spend more time outside. ;) (un)fortunately that also means less time on Flickr... :-/

Have a couple more of these coming. ;)

Another from the archives. From November 2010, during golden evening sunlight.

I've had my reservations about this one. Okay, so tell me what you think about this. I want to know your honest opinions. How could this have been better? The colors, the light, the composition? Too much out of focus? Too much bokeh? Weird colors? Just plain boring?

No need for a dissertation, just a concise thought or 2, if you wish.

Thanks.... :)

Try this on BLACK.

Another from the archives, taken back in May 2010, yet never saw the light of Flickr until now. This candid grab was on an afternoon stroll before sunset. .

Okay, yeah, I know, I've been putting out a lot of flowery images lately... Eh, but I think it's cool anyway. :)

In the last few days, I've been able to spend some special moments outside. Which brings be to yearn to do whatever it takes to spend more time outside in nature. Sunday, I was able to go exploring in the woods with my camera. It was so cathartic, so wonderful. I've GOT to get outside more!

What? It's only Tuesday Wednesday (<-- see shows how much I need a break)? :)
