Regarding the link you sent me, thanks for sending it to me so I can tell you more about the moon god, and the crescent. First of all the crescent has been familiarised with Islam, the prophet or his companions never used the crescent, it was used by the Turks, who later upon converting to Islam still used that symbol, hence you see the crescent wherever the Turks had gone. That does not mean it is part of Islamic thought or ideology.

Regarding the moon god i will first have to tell you that Abraham along with his son Ismael built the Kaaba, it was meant for monotheistic worship, but later when the pagan arabs of back then installed 360 plus of their false gods in the Kaaba they named some gods which they had heard from monothiests. Now before you start comdemning the name of ALLAH with something that is pagan, then take a history book and read who inhabited Makkah? it was not an arab of today, nor was it a jew or a christian. it was a monotheist Ibrahim (Abraham) along with his son Ismael, and wife Hajra (Hager). May ALLAH'S blessings be on them.

Since they were the first to refer to GOD as ALLAH which the pagans later used to refer to their supreme god.

Also I do understand that the second snap of the supposed Muslim in that comic strip resembled a dog, but do understand one thing, no muslim gets up from his prayers in such a stance, he first sits down and then is allowed to stand up upon completion of his prayers. And another statement which arose my attention was that the beardless man said "Muhammad wanted to create his own religion" mind you people who create their own religion are hungry for everything that the common man doesn't have, such as power and money. Neither did he become a Caliph nor did he die as a wealthy man. He died as a modest man and led under the command of his juniors, both in age and status. This was his greatness, buddy. Either one or many, all gods are creations of the imagination.
Look at what exists and you will need no divinities. Every supposed God pales before the whole of creation, it's that which exists and will always exist, regardless of what you call it.

Yes this is preacher's corner, so I'll preach a bit more.
God is that which we deem to be more powerful than us. That's why people in the past who had great and seemingly supernatural powers were called gods.
This is the single aception of God as an individuality that has ever existed. Because the whole, which may be called The Creation, has no desires, it has no preferences, much less requirements to be made of humans. It has laws but these are inherent to its existance and as such are impossible to transgress.

Religions may be helpful to some in their way to find the truth. But they are not the truth. It would be sacrilegious to claim such.
Blind beliefs are not the most conductive path to evolution. Evolution is the obvious goal and the inevitable outcome of Creation. Over the course of milions of years humans evolve and turn themselves into "Gods", but never into Creation.
Can one become better through religion? It's possible but then again, every good or bad action can only be attributed to the individual, regardless of his/hers religious or non-religious background which just works as an excuse for what the person really wants to do.

Religions must also be recognized as purely human creations.
That by itself wouldn't necessarily be bad but, which humans are behind them? Jesus created no religion, neither did Mohammed or Abraham. These individuals spoke their truth, often against the customs and beliefs of their time. They created a lasting impression but left no writings of their own creation. All that exists is hearsay. A lot of hearsay and a lot of distortions or outright inventions such as sins, hells and demons made to guarantee the control over the masses.

When you consider the (fictional) God of the Bible and what that sick fuck is like, it's obvious that (the equally fictional) Satan is a much kinder, benevolent entity.
