Sometimes just standing around chatting and thinking its going to get better does pay off.
Paul and i had arrived pre dawn to find, well to be honest what we expected grey cloud but heavy mist. so we got some shots in the trees and where fairly happy with them. we then decided to go into Marlborough as the MOP is on, we thought this may give us a few shots, as we walked back down the hill the clouds started to break a bit so we thought hang for a minute see what happens.
Well this is what happened brief about 5 - 10 minutes of great light
through the heavy cloud/ mist
So yes standing around on a grey damp morning does sometimes pay off.

Wow. That was a moment worth hanging around for. I love pastoral scenes like this. I live on a hilly island, but all hills are roughly the same height and the valleys are narrow, so I never get to find a shot like this. Lovely image. Thanks.
