This is from last Saturday...we had a couple of inches of that light, fluffy snow that just looks lovely on everything...You can see Willow way up the path ....

As you can see, my dogs lead a hard life!! LOL...This was last Saturday after a morning of running in the 2" of snow we finally had...

Another view on the hike back down White Face Mt. via the summer road...We really lucked out on views on the way down!!! Enjoy your Sunday!!!

Hopefully you can see "the castle" as it is referred as...that was the summit and while we were up there the winds were gusting 40-50 MPH, not unusual for this summit. Needless to say, we stayed for a minute or two and carefully descended the icy stairs to get out of the wind...I couldn't believe it when I turned to look back and got this view of the top of Whiteface...interestingly by looking at the trees, you can also see which direction the wind blows...

Last Monday-New Year's Day we hiked up the summer road for cars to the top of Whiteface in the Adirondacks...The snow on the road fell as we hiked up. No views on the way up, but on the way back, the skies were clearing and we got some amazing views!!
