thought I'd show a bit of what I get to look at each day.

This paddle wheel proved a cool graphic shape. Almost too dark to see it's colors against the evening sky, but I like how it turned out

…on the starboard side of the paddle wheeler. It had come into harbor for a week of dinner cruises and sight seeing.

The Tennessee Valley Museum of Art in Tuscumbia decided to add artwork to their Trees of Christmas exhibit this year. TVMA members were asked to submit artwork using the medium of their choice—photographs, paintings, mixed media, etc.—as long as it can hang on a wall. Each piece must also display a Christmas, winter or seasonal theme in the work.

When asked why I chose buttons as a subject to focus on, my reply was that "Joy" said it all; the buttons were a bonus.

'Tis the season…

The top photo, showing the front of the house, was taken by Alex Bush on March 27, 1935. The bottom photo, taken by Carmel Olive on June 6, 1966, shows the house fully engulfed in flames after being struck by lightning. It's said that the fire was so hot it scorched the paint on the fire trucks which had arrived to help.
Only the columns of this great plantation house were left standing.
