I will admit to having been unpleasantly surprised by their Sachertorte. I was told marvels, and was underwhelmed.

This anecdote has of course nothing to do with the photo but hey you know me.

Did you eat the Torte at the Hotel Sacher ? Because if not, your bad experience is not surprising...but, tastes differ, i know people who prefer the Hotel Impérial-Torte.(i'm unconditional fan of the original Sachertorte...bonjour les calories ;-))

I am not saying it's always disappointing - only that it was when I went. Maybe I got the last slice that had been laying about for a while, maybe... I don't know. Mind you, I'm not a big fan of fruity chocolate in the first place, so Sachertorte isn't high on my "to-eat" list :)
