What a fine little illustration of a bejewelled elephant for the Orient Line's guide to Colombo in Ceylon (now Sri Lanka), a call on the Oronsay's long journey from Australia to England in early 1953. It is signed DA - I wonder if it isn't Douglas Annand, an artist who did work on the Line's post-WW2 liners. The simple and elegant 'Orient Line' logo is by Edward McKnight Kauffer.
