impressive displays of knowledge, skill, experience and unashamed blagging from a select gathering of serious curd nerds
several extremely good bottles of appropriately matched accompaniments
delicious warm-up dishes, fantastic fruit and preserves
absolutely excellent company
and this is all the evidence that remains

Quickes, Montgomerys, cave aged Yarg, Wigmore, some very strange smoked goats cheese, Stinking Bishop and Barkham Blue all made notable appearances
but Old Demdike emerged as the star of the evening
stunning washed curd ewes milk cheese from a very small dairy in Somerset
knockout
