I like the way the various shapes and tones are at play here.

The pummelo is a close relative of the grapefruit, but the skin (or rind) is much thicker—up to an inch thick. This one was delicious.

One of several little clouds that looked like they were scurrying back to the herd before dark.

I thought I'd age this view of the village of Appomattox Court House and give it historical context. This is where the American Civil War ended.

The texture is from Von Glitschka's book "Crumble Crackle, Burn."
