Iodide stablised Birch

Iodide stablised Birch

A different take, with a digitally altered negative, I think now ive got too much contrast!!!! Although this time is an unedited scan of the final print. The colours are slightly off, the originals a slightly softer yellow tint. Ill have to try and tweak it later to match it better.

*edit* In a weird twist of fate, as the prints fully dried its now matched the colour of the scan*

This is unfixed, stabilised in Iodide instead of trisulphate.

Arches Aquarelle, a lovely paper. The print seems to become a part of the paper

Arches Aquarelle 250gsm? - slightly yellow tone, and possible slight browning of paper on application of silver nitrate
1.5% salt
15% silver
Contact printed to Overcast sky 30-40mins exposure
"stabilized" in 1.5% iodide

Birch clearing

Birch clearing

My Fav and last in the series

I havnt quite got this process right without a digital stage to get a nice contrast. Either a digitally altered negative (my printer seems to do rubbish ones) or adding some contrast back into the final scan. I believe it is possible to get a film neg to get good contrast so I will endeavour on next year to get a good original print.
