The Streetlamp At The End Of The World

The Streetlamp At The End Of The World

OK, I admit it; I am a science fiction GEEK!! I grew up watching sputnik, moon landings and space shuttles. I watched Star Trek, Star Wars and the X-Files. I read books by Phillip K. Dick, Ray Bradbury and Arthur C. Clark. To this day if there is a movie about an alien invasion, UFO landing, or giant insects eating Cleveland Ohio, I am getting the popcorn and drinks out because it is going to be good times for Jack!!!

I always thought this would be a great sci-fi title for a novel or short story!!! If I had any talent, I would write it myself!! Lol

The Pacific Cove

The Pacific Cove

For a land-locked guy like me who is thousands of miles away from any ocean, the coast of Western Vancouver Island in British Columbia was paradise lost.

Thanks for all your continuous support

Hope your press "L" and view on black!

Birdland

Birdland

Birdland by Patti Smith www.youtube.com/watch?v=47leRbuaOxo

His father died and left him a little farm in New England.
All the long black funeral cars left the scene
And the boy was just standing there alone
Looking at the shiny red tractor
Him and his daddy used to sit inside
And circle the blue fields and grease the night.
It was if someone had spread butter on all the fine points of the stars
'Cause when he looked up they started to slip.
Then he put his head in the crux of his arm
And he started to drift, drift to the belly of a ship,
Let the ship slide open, and he went inside of it
And saw his daddy 'hind the control board streamin' beads of light,
He saw his daddy 'hind the control board,
And he was very different tonight
'Cause he was not human, he was not human.

And The Land Shall Provide

And The Land Shall Provide

Another image for my Distorted Truths set

Jan. 22 and we STILL have no snow on the ground here. Yet many politicians still insist there there is no such thing as global warming!!! yah Right!!

Wait till it is the middle of summer and the land is bone dry because of the lack of snow pack here and in the mountains!

The Empire State Building and Lower Manhattan.

I HOPE you press "L" and view in Lightbox

Part of my New Year’s Resolution was to start a new Photo project exploring photographic areas that I am not very comfortable with. So I have decided to start a new series called “Distorted Truths. It is going to rely on aspects of (sometimes) distortion and heavy grunge to try and allow me to see the world is a slightly different way. Some images may not be “pretty”, but they will allow me room to grow and experiment in this series and hopefully a path will emerge that I feel happy that I traveled down when I am finished.

This image is in collaboration with my wife. She did the original photo since I am deathly afraid of standing on very tall buildings, and I did all the Photoshop work of which I can also be occasionally deathly afraid of! :-)
