Digital Art Journaling w/Jessica Sprague & Nancie Rowe Janitz, Journaling Prompt 8: Found

The poem is mine:

we travel together
the dead and i
mother, brother, father, friend

all of us alive and lost

about to miss the boat
with too much luggage
too little time

much is forgotten, misplaced

what belongs
to my father? what
is mine? what is yours?

the sea foams, it’s a living thing

i am dropped off
alone, on a solitary island
i have chosen this

the others carry on without me

on my own
with my music
i wait

Soliloquy

Soliloquy

Art Journal Caravan w/Tangie Baxter: Itinerary #03 {Wordography: Soliliquy}

The poem is mine:

What is this life? A string of beads. The string
is broken, beads scattered on the floor. Why
do you linger? Famished, wanting more.
He loves you. In your dreams it all replays.

You get a second chance. The dance
goes on, couples hold and sway to music
only you can hear. You think too much.
You work too hard. It’s all for nothing.

The dog gets lost, the kittens cry for milk
and mothers gone to wildness. There’s nothing left.
You lose yourself in houses you once knew.
The garden stones are buried in snow.
