Handy Market Tote for myself
I'm *in love* with this bag I made for myself! It's the third time I've made this bag from Ayumi's Patchwork Please book, and I love how it just lets my favourite prints shine.
I knew I wanted to use the Suzuko cheater print, and started to build my print selection around that. I was confident about the Yuwa green and orange flowers, and had originally envisioned a creamier colour scheme (for example, for the handles, I was going to use the DS Quilts mustard print that ended up here: www.flickr.com/photos/36374379@N04/8758658466/). I liked the orange solid for the bag sides (although I dyed it myself and it has some imperfections), but things really came together when I rejected a ton of prints for the handles and then found an FQ of Lush painter's palette that I bought from Amy maybe two years ago. It seems a bit of a shame to use the FQ this way, since so little of it is visible now, but I do think it's perfect. And thennn, I *really* mustered up my courage and cut into the Megumi Sakakibara grey forest print that Robin brought up for me from the US. I really can't wait to use this bag!
