Edison Diamond Disk Phonograph
This Edison is rather boxlike and plain in its light Oak cabinet, but was an advanced machine in its day.
It had a cuing stick, a diamond needle for long service and central lubrication.
It used 78 rpm(approximately)quarter inch thick records. Adopters were available so that regular lateral cut 78s could also be played. Never play a Diamond disk on other than an Edison machine as it will damage them, with the possible exception of a modern turntable with a very light setting on the tone arm.
