I know I am very late, nevertheless, please do allow to me greet you all a very belated Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. My sincerest wish for you all is to be happy. Never to forget what is important, such as love of family and abiding friendships (among others).

Just like the new year that comes around year after year, we are also - in a sense - given another chance (and a second and third and fourth) to start anew at life while learning from our past experiences.

Here's wishing everyone who is celebrating today a Happy Thanksgiving Day! And even if we don't celebrate this day specifically, may today be a reminder of the many reasons to be grateful. The love of family, the gift of friendships and blessings of clothing, food and shelter. Even on a most ordinary day, there is always a reason to be thankful.

It's been a while since I've been here. Getting to know a new camera, home life, inspiration - all that and more - contribute to my absence from flickr. I hope to be here more often as I can although time will surely tell.

So to restart myself, I thought I'd post this dandelion I found yesterday at the beginning of autumn. Funny how it popped out from the crack of the pavement as if announcing that spring is here. Well, the weather does seem spring-like so maybe that's it. It does remind me of answered prayers and unexpected blessings that surprise us on an ordinary day.

So I hope anyone of you who sees this post choose to enjoy your own unexpected spring in fall. Have a great day!

Visiting my niece for a few weeks. Got to visit the botanical park, went canoeing in Austin Lake and watched the Mexican bats fly off into the night from under the Congress bridge. Our day ended at Austin's N Congress Ave. with the view of the state's Capitol building. It was a fun and tiring day. One thing though, it was just super super hot!

Hope your summer is going well. Make sure you drink lots of liquids.

There are days when I can't help but be in awe. Being in Grand Canyon, watching the sun rise over the grandeur and this breathtaking sight was one of them. This view reminded me of how insignificant we all are in the scheme of nature. In the scale of awesomeness, this one ranks high up on my list.
