My most favorite place out of the Disney World parks as I love everything about the World Showcase as well as technology, which Epcot has plenty of. For anybody who hasn't been to Disney World I would definitely recommend Epcot to be one of the parks visited if you aren't going to all of them.

Deep Ellum Train Stop

Deep Ellum Train Stop

My first night in Dallas, Texas was pretty eventful as I walked around quite a bit looking for different vantage points in the Texas heat. Than as the sun started to set is when I went into full photographer mode and just starting taking pictures everywhere I could find that had interesting angles of the city and it's skyline. More to to pictures to follow in the coming days/ weeks. Until then, I present to you one of my first stops at the Deep Ellum rail line stop.

Waiting for the lightning to begin

Waiting for the lightning to begin

Taking pictures when all you here every few seconds is thunder going off while standing next to a tripod on a pool top balcony is no joke. It was certainly nerve racking to say the least but luckily the lightning gods were in my favor and didn't strike me! My main intention this day was to take some lightning images in the safety of a parking garage but unfortunately the lightning that night were the kind to travel across the sky and actually strike down which was no bueno for me. So I share with you my 2 frame panorama from the balcony of the hotel Hilton Palacio del Rio.

From Dusk To Dawn

From Dusk To Dawn

Well as the title states this was taken just before the sun rose to after it set on Dec. 31st 2011. I needed something to do while waiting for the fireworks at midnight so I decided to take a timelapse of sorts and merge them all into one frame. For 17 hours I sat at the Partner's hub directly in front of the castle clicking my camera away every so often all the while guarding my tripod from the other tourist walking by. Unfortunately for me my biggest enemy was myself as I think I tapped my tripod more times than the other people. Normally I would assume there wouldn't be as many people in the shot but for New Year's Eve they really packed in all the shows they could. I think I saw every show they had in front of the castle at least 4 times not to mention the other parades at least 2 times each. It was cool the first time, than the second time was for capturing pictures I missed the first time and after that I just sat and waited.

I've been trying panoramas quite a bit recently and it's made me reflect on some of the past ones I've tried. I definitely want to go back to a lot of these places and retry them but instead of doing the same thing I'll have to find some new locations/ angles I've never tried before.
