Scotch
Looking back, I probably didn't have to use and waste single malt scotch to get this shot.

5/52 Relaxing Under the Stars
Went heavy on the photoshop this week. Mostly I was interested in seeing if I could pull something like this off. It was more difficult than I anticipated, and it's not perfect, but I'm pretty happy with the result.
The photoshopping is the easy part, the challenge is getting the lighting conditions to match the light the background would produce if it really existed. I used two flashes, one directly in front and the other to my left, both with blue gels. After that it's just a matter of selecting, copying and pasting.

4/52 The Hunger Games
I read all three books in four days. Im going to feel like a 13 year old girl going to see twilight when the movies come out. I do wonder how they are going to fit these books into a 2 hour movie, while also keeping them pg-13. These are books for teenagers yet there is a lot of adult material, like small children getting blown to bits, people getting shot in the face, and death on a massive scale. So we shall see.
These books were also a departure from the non-fiction I pretty much exclusively read, an even bigger testament to how awesome they are.

Taughannock Falls
I'm pretty sure I spelled that right.
Ithaca is Gorges. I crawled down into the river itself to get this shot, right under the bridge, and set the tripod at its lowest extention. I like to explore different compositions of these overshot landmarks.
Two Exposures, painfully blended.
