This little quilt (31" x 30") is a surprise for the son of a friend of Andrea's. He'ill probably be in the hospital for Christmas (boo!), so we wanted to make something to cheer him up. His name is Jake (obviously), he's four and a half, and he's nuts about trains.

OMG! my son would go crazy for this.. He's also 4 and a half and LOVES trains (and quilts). Must have taken you ages to put together.

@Ann StewArt: Actually, because it's pretty small, it only took an evening and an afternoon to cut and piece. Appliqueing on the wheels took a good chunk of time, but overall it went pretty fast!
