Don Komarechka's photostream  

One of the best snowflakes images of this season, at least in my opinion :)

Playing around with angles of reflection, the "main" snowflake is reflecting a lot of light from the flash and the "secondary" snowflake, being on a slightly different angle, is mostly transparent. Catching some prismatic colour is also a bonus!

It looks like the two snowflakes formed together, by the way they fit together so perfectly.

One of my favourite little waterfalls, located in Bracebridge, Ontario. This was photographed after a fresh dusting of snow on a recent cold winter day and I couldn't have hoped for a better image. Tell me your thoughts!

An ice cloud sits between the sun and my camera, creating the halo and sun dogs you see in the picture. Cold winter days are the best to get out and take pictures!

This snowflake fell yesterday (December 28, 2011), and the image took over four hours to completely edit and focus-stack. I'm very happy with the results, and I can't wait to big into the other gems waiting for me to put together!
