Storming the bank from Grangemouth with a heavy oil train. I can still hear the roar now.

An early morning visit to Stratford enabled me to grab this shot of these vintage Class 31s, amongst them 4 Toffee Apple examples.
In this picture are 31103-31015-31004-31017-31002-31114. The Class 37 in the backgound is 37018.
The lighting was low and my lens was wide open hence the lack of depth.

Due to the late arrival on the preceeding day the logs were not loaded until 230. 66847 is almost ready to depart the new loading facility at Teigngrace and makes a welcome splash of color on this winters day.

I was on my way home from work this evening and I was delighted to see this COLAS Class 66 No 66847 on Platform 3 waiting to head off along the Heathfield branch with empty log carriers. The train will be loaded at Teigngrace but I dont know its final destination.
I know its a new freight flow and is anticipated to operate once a week apparently its a three year contract so I am looking forward to having something in the area worth taking pictures of. Hoorah.
