Dope find is right! I'll tell you, there's nothing like being in the right place, at the right time. Guerilla clean-up crew, that's me. This phone booth is just way too cool! I suppose it was Banksy's announcement for breaking into the American news. Why else would he cart a 500 pound English phone booth all the way from home? London Calling is spot on! The way it was placed, it looked as if it fell from England, clear through the center of the Earth and popped out at Alameda and Main. But what do I do with it now?

What does it MEAN? Holy shit, you want some philosophy or a literal definition of this pieceof ART? WTF man??? that's a big question, like mayb one that BANKSY could give ypu an answer to...1,800 views and I guess no one gives a fuck about your question. 1,800 views and i'll bet all of them enjoyed the fLIck w/o trppn bout what it meant...at least 1,798 of those views, anyway, cuz a week went by w no one caring to respond to that bullshick.\

It's worth whatever sombody is willing to pay for it. Believe it, or not, I received two offers for the phone booth today: one for $50,000 and one for $100,000. Since the thing won't fit in my living room I guess I'm entertaining offers...

ahhh, the million dollar question.. 'what's it all about alfie'?, guess it's a tough one for our American cousins. The phone box is a tradidtional symbol of the state, the state owned the post office and telephone company until deregulation in the 80's. This is one of a few pieces, one killed with a pick axe and bleeding red paint. The traditional phone box was also a hang out for teenagers on council estates, a coming of age symbol and the main target of pre teen vandalism and graffiti.. these are the objects we learned our trade on, grew up in, fumbled through our first sexual encounters in, pissed in, phone our first loves, phoned home late cos you missed the bus... if you could find one that worked that is. Ahhhh the heady days of youth, vandalising telephone boxes and hanging out at the chip shop and bus stops of grotty northern England...

The invasion of the British vandal :-)

Either that .. or, well... it's funny innit !

As to how much it's worth, well.. unless you can get a COA from Banksy or his agents, which is doubtful, then it's worth this much...

The man Banksy is, without a doubt, a guerilla genius !!!
The guy has raised more issues and pointed out more social paradoxes than the whole UK government put together. Plus he does it all with a wicked sense of humour =D
I think numusic made very good insights into the british mind (been a northern lad, i too grew up in that same situation) in respect to what that image means to US.
    I N R I ... LOL DOA cerificate =D

Thats cruelty to the British Telephone Boxes. There isn't that many left of those lovely old fashioned ones. So they need to be left alone.
