Glendalough Upper Lake
Probably THE most beautiful landscape I've ever seen with my own eyes. The Wicklow Mountains and area are absolutely stunning. Endless shades of winter green, brown and grey... magnificent.

Monea Castle Ruins
A small sign roadside brought us down through farmland to find this little treasure surrounded by frosty grounds and livestock warming to the sun the morning we set off for third hotel. The interior is in very good shape considering it's completely exposed to the elements. A small staircase (front right corner) leads you down into a small room that sadly only contained several empty pop bottles and ciggy packages.
