Just me and my frame…

Still looking for that perfect composition for my frame. Headed out this morning for a group shoot with 30+ photographers at Long Reef Collaroy.

Mech Water

Mech Water

Caught up with John, Jeff and the crew this morning at Maroubra Beach for a sunrise shoot and unfortunately did get much and went through some of my old shoots from the same area and found this image from the Coogee tidal pool.

Have a great Australia Day!

Diminished Responsibility

Diminished Responsibility

Let me just say, that was a very special event, John Armytage you should be commended, great work!

I though I'd something a little different this morning, so while the wife was asleep I removed the wedding portrait and sneaked away into the night with the frame. Next time I'll bury it a little deeper if only the waves would go away.

Nice meeting you all looking forward to the next time!

Disco The Robber Fly

Disco The Robber Fly

Came home tonight to find this huge robber fly stuck in the house, so I thought I'd perform a little macro magic.

Simple set-up, Disco The Robber Fly on a piece of bamboo from the garden, yellow cellophane for the background, water spray bottle, Nikon D7000, 105mm Micro Lens with extension tube, 3 flash units and a little Heatwave "Boogie Nights" to set the mood.

I'd like to thank the following:
Model - Disco The Robber Fly
Assistant - Charlotte my 4 year old daughter for her expert fly training.

Oh and by the way the robber fly was released safe and sound with pay!

Alone in the Meadow

Alone in the Meadow

Saddleback Mountain

On the way back from Jamberoo this afternoon I spotted the classic field littered with silage bales and had to come back for a sunset, to my horror they put them away at night, so I was left with a empty field. Now I'm not deterred very easily and decided to walk up the hill and to my delight, I found this old shed and an almost full rising moon, so I slapped on the 100mm and performed a 9 frame pano, please enjoy!
