      so I came home from work and let the dog out in the backyard as usual. then she took off like a shot to the middle of the yard. she didn't bark or anything, she just stood there. I didn't have the floodlight on so I couldn't see what was going on. I pulled off my socks and walked out into the yard. then I saw the possum. I put daisy in the house, and grabbed my camera. I couldn't tell if she hurt it, and its act was very convincing. check out the tongue. but after a while, I checked the yard again and it was long gone.

      Nice capture. I don't believe I have ever seen one of these play dead. They always hiss and snarl and just try and leave.

      great shot and narrative - now you're seen both acts, interesting creature - you certainly have a wide variety of wildlife
