chickens were always one of our families' dreams for when we finally got a house. now we have them... nothing is more therapeutic than collecting eggs. its a daily routine, it wipes away stress and makes you laugh. i never knew what characters chickens are! they are hilarious, and sweet. its a treasure hunt every time i search for eggs. little eggs that remind you how simple life can really be and how it sustains you.
I promise that you will be seeing more of me on here. someday.

I used to try to say something through my "photography". I strived to make meaning come through the image, to make it speak. In order to achieve what I thought was emotion and meaning, I tried to make the background, the subject, the depth seem perfect. I wanted the picture to be picture perfect. Pun intended.
But what I've learned since then is that life is the most beautiful thing... The most emotional, intricate and perfect thing. In order to photograph life, you have to catch it candid. Life can be messy, it's not always like a fairy tale-but it's also not fake.
So now my new objective is to photograph life. And if there is a random jar of vasoline in the background, so what!? (not this photo, it was a shoot I was working on this morning!) life literally is emotion... life looks different for everybody and I think that is what makes it interesting.
Now I work on photographing life.

she is an english angora doe.
she has a little sister named london who is a lilac.
they are my first angora bunnies! (im trying to start a small rabbitry and wool business soon! they are my foundation does, the first foundation buck will come this december)
i will have more pictures and info up soon... they are the cutest little things :)

i am going to try to start a weekly uploading schedule, i feel like my photography is hitting dead end and i need to work more. plus-i really miss you guys :)

I just looked through my photostream and memories just hit me in the face... ones I really miss. I just moved so they the pictures of those moments and things feel so distant and far, and it hurts. Growing up hurts. Leaving hurts. Goodbyes hurt. Permanent goodbyes hurt. The feeling of wondering if you will ever see something again hurts. Torn feelings hurt. Life hurts.
Thank God I have a future I can look forward to and an eternity with Him with no pain.
