Pacifica Pier at Sunset

Pacifica Pier at Sunset

The pier itself is a concrete concoction but as evening twilight approaches it takes on a magical quality. A light fog, twinkling street lamps and fishermen packing up made this a memorable moment.

Airforce Vet

Airforce Vet

Airforce Vet, Homeless, San Jose State University campus.

Reminisce about the glories of days gone by, brought back to earth by grim reality. A sign of times, unfortunately becoming too common.

If you are interested in doing some macro photography in the garden then I recommend heading over to the nearest Home Depot or a Lowes. They have the wonderful garden section that is partially open. A netting provides diffused lighting.

I hung around in the gardening section of the closest Home Depot last weekend. Nobody bothered me and pretty much left me to shoot macros.

Here is one of the normally dreadful looking cactus.

Robert Sanchez

Robert Sanchez

A couple of weekends ago at the San Jose State University campus, I chanced upon Robert Sanchez. He came on his bike with a backpack that held treats for the squirrels.

I asked him why he was doing this and his answer was "Squirrels are God's creatures too. Somebody has to feed them. So I do. Everyday".
