The young St Timothy with his grandmother who teaches him the Torah by Burne Jones from the Vyner Memorial Window in Oxford Cathedral c.1872.
Burne-Jones's Vyner Memorial Window has four figures with haloes of flashed ruby glass. Their white robes have yellow leaf patterns. 'Silver stain' was painted on the back of the glass to produce the yellow patterns. It was also used for the hair.
This panel is the only one believed to have been signed by Burne Jones & Morris.
