what a great way to keep bits and pieces of inspiration in the forefront. the movement of this mobile would keep me looking at it long after I had forgotten about stuff I've pinned on my cork board. great idea!

and how fabulous to have the magic of keeping everything balanced & counterbalanced as you have to in a mobile, as if your ideas do indeed carry weight. beautiful shot!

Carrie, FTD, tiki, Montana, LW, elyce - Thank you everyone for the fantastic comments! The thing that makes this mobile so happy and fun is that I've always wanted one, and then, one day while thrifting, I happened upon one - for just $3. Another neat thing about it is that it hangs above the fray, which, in this case, looks like a fabric factory exploded in my room! Pre-Etsy opening work is messy work, it would seem!

You are way lucky to have come across that! :-) Good on ya! I've been trying to find one for several yrs without success; in stores and otherwise :1 am hoping to make it (as a last resort)... do you by any chance have a shot of it in full? *sheepish*.

Thanks Pano, Castanet and angel! Angel - I know a place to get them (full price, unfortunately) locally. I think it's $13 or so. I can take a picture of it for you later this weekend! If you want, maybe we could work out something wherein I could get one for you. I'd hate to think you'd searched and searched in vain! I once looked for red stationery for 4 years before I finally found it. When I found it, I bought every piece of it they had.

abby, you are way too kind! I'm not sure what I can offer you in return. :1 What currency is the price you quoted me in? :) I once made a fool of myself by purchasing every last piece of ink reservoir as well! ;-) (my original fountain pen used an unusual reservoir) The shopkeeper was rather delighted though ;-)

I bought one for $15 after seeing yours - it's possible to make them, but in this case I wanted to get one up & running for inspiration -
