Wild in the City

Wild Turkey photographed at Tracy Aviary; Salt Lake City, Utah.

The Aviary periodically attracts wild birds to its grounds. I have seen Bald Eagles, Summer Tanager and others, but this is biggest surprise of all due to the species lack of willingness to fly great distances. The foothills where these birds are seen in the wild are at least ten miles from this location, and the bird would have had to navigate through densely developed urban space.
