Osprey Bringing Mullet To Mate On Nest Everglades National Park
EXPLORE # 457 May 27, 2110 ---- VIEW LARGE No resting with baby Osprey's to feed as the mate waits for its Silver Mullet fast food delivery !! Ospreys in South Florida nest from Dec though the end of April, by then the young have fledged. The young birds due hang around the nest after that and are brought some food by the parents. Ospreys are good parents and when food is avalible they will make sure each young is fed. This image was taken at Flamingo, in Everglades National Park.
