Finding a vein on the train
Two drug users on a rush hour train from Liverpool Street station - one helping the other to find a line in.
It was a hot summer day, and they were totally oblivious of the train full of commuters and school kids.
Shot with Sony F717 digital.

Ahh... finally a pic of yours I don't need to call a favorite! Although it's a great shot!

although this maybe isn't as photographically impressive as your other pictures it's unsettling. chilling. i admire any photo that can make a person feel something like that.

Alot of people wouldn't even take this photograph let alone post it here.
You are a good photographer.

Goes to show that co-operation is important, and even junkies need to reach out for help on occassion.

What's really awful is the man's arm on the upper left side. So thin.

this brings back many memories of melbourne, australia. there were people shooting up everywhere there. i found it really disturbing, as i do this image.
photojournalism at its best.

Great shot! Hope you won't mind if I ask you something.. I suppose you didnt ask if you could take them a snapshot. So how did they react when they heard the click of your camera? supposing they noticed... You know, most people wouldn't even have glanced at them and you stopped and shooted... what if they got upset? Uhm..maybe they wouldn't have cared about a truck ramming them, let alone if someone gets a picture but.. you never now, right?

adg82 - they were totally oblivious of all around them and I wasn't about to ask for a pose!!
My Sony F717 has a great swivel body feature though, so I held the camera low down - a bit more discreet than peering thru a viewfinder.

I am all about the swivel viewfinder, bombdog. I just ordered the new Sony M1--should be here Monday.

Unsettling moment to say the least and, sadly, a great capture.

Wow, that's not something I've ever seen on public transit in Canada. Definitely disturbing, but one of those necessary shots.

A great capture, if not a little scary, then I noticed the guy on the lefts arm sticking up behind him... now that is wasted
