Morning Warmth Hits Cold Steel

    Newer Older

The early morning's warming sun rays were welcome hitting the Yaquina Bay Bridge and my face both on this cold and clear Black Friday morning last autumn. Big retail sales or not, this is right where I most wanted to be!

Fantastic color and composition here. Easily one of the best shots I've seen of this marvelous bridge. And another place with a personal connection. My great-great-great grandfather was lighthouse keeper at Yaquina Bay light in the 1870s, before they realized that it was a really bad place to put a lighthouse, and built the one out on the head. I've spent quite a bit of time in Newport. A great Oregon coast town. Thanks for sharing!
