Got an early start whilst camping in West Sussex and spent half an hour trying to pinpoint woodpeckers hammering out their calls to each other. Finally manged to locate a Lesser Spottted Woodpecker who for a moment sat perfectly in profile against the early morning sun, before flitting off.

Been In The Wars
Surprisingly intact WWII (December 1944) plane (B-17 Flying Fortress) crash site in Cheviot Hills, Northumberland. Apparently there used to be a war memorial nearby made with one of the propeller blades but this has now gone.
