Wenceslas Riding an Upsidedown Horse

It is the statue of an upside-down horse with a rider on its underside. See ivandeb's explanation below. [IMG_1567-horse]

Actually it is in Prague in the Czech Republic. We came across it in an indoor shopping centre which I think was on Wenceslas Square (Václavské náměstí). I'd love to know what it represents.

I was in Prague last summer & saw this sculpture. It's titled "Wenceslas Riding an Upsidedown Horse", and was sculpted in 1992, three years after the end of Communist rule. It was to symbolize the topsy-turvy days of free enterprise, and what Wenceslas would think of it all.

Thanks Ivandeb. It's almost three years since I took this picture and have been always puzzled by it. It's nice to finally have an explanation.
