We're not in Kansas.

    Here is one of the streets around the corner from our house. We get a lot of exercise walking to local restaurants and shops.

      They couldn't afford to have a shortage of spirit levels while building a house like that. It's almost as if the architect wanted to show off.

      Hopefull after the next big earthquake all the horizontals will still be horizontal and all the verticals will still be vertical.

      (Though actually the rocky slopes are probably going to be much safer in an earthquake than the muddy flatlands which can act like jelly to amplify the shaking and can liquify to suck down the house foundations.)
