Twin Lakes

Twin Lakes

It seems like forever since I've gotten to photograph such beauty. Our campfire is almost center of the frame.

Also, this was evening light.

Thank you everybody for the comments

Cinnamon Bear

Cinnamon Bear

Got this nice opportunity while backpacking in ISHI Wilderness.

This is why I pack my heavy 70-200 f2.8!

When I go out on a backpacking trip I am currently carrying 17lbs of gear.

One thing I really like about this shot is that the Bear is in a Digger Pine that had survived a wildfire thus showing that this is a wild animal. Often times you see great portraits like this but they could be a captive animal.

Scenic Bliss

Scenic Bliss

These are the moments that I live for. Shelter, water and grand scenery all in one! This shot was from camp in the south Warner Mountains at an elevation of 9200ft. The alkali flat is 1 mile below.

Notice the moon rise... that's when I really got excited.

Oh yea, it was really windy.
