Bemused Ducks

Bemused Ducks

The ducks at Wattlehurst Farm were all gathered around the small break in the ice that had been created by the sun in the corner of this pond. It was one of the few ponds in the area that had any free water.

This will be my last post for a few days. I have an expedition lined up that will include a couple of trips that are completely different from the endless diet of the Sussex Border Path that I have had since October. Thanks all for looking and commenting on my pictures while I am away!

Frozen Food

Frozen Food

I wonder what the sheep make of the frozen grass? These were among the few groups of livestock I saw out in the countryside that day.

Oakdale Farm View

Oakdale Farm View

The path skirts all the way around this rather impessive looking farm house. I guess there must have been a lot of money to be made from pig farming once upon a time?

Giant Hogweed Skeletons

Giant Hogweed Skeletons

They may have been a long time dead but these giant hogweeds still look pretty impressive as skeletons in the landscape!

Wattlehurst Farm

Wattlehurst Farm

This is obviously pig country! Unlike Denne Farm there were actually some pigs in evidence here.
