Sorry for my no show as of late ....

.... but i have been recovering from quite a nasty winter flare. As such i am taking a break from my normal work and i am concentrating on updating my portfolio as i haven't any film work in there since i took up studying photography and freelancing. My prior experience of film and print is the normal intro course as part of my BTEC Art Foundation at college and i used photography in the past as a sketch book to record stuff to paint later back in the day when all i did was paint and draw rather than an art form of its self. I have always used a Zenit by default as i do love them so and i am esp happily with there clumsy person friendly factor as i am certainly clumsy and always have been. This little set up has been sourced from many a second hand fair and auction on a shoe string budget. It is yet un tested and i have happily obtained undeveloped distressed film for her 1st test run. The lens are good, sharp and clear for her age and the fun of trying an old second hand bit of kit is of course seeing if its her body is light tight as some would say and if not its off she will go to the carama shop to be restored. She needs a good clean though so this is just a quick snap on my HTC and happily these len and the others i have sourced can be interchanged with my 35 mm Cannon that i know is of sound technical quality with an very inexpensive ring so i am very excited to see what these super new len set of mine will do.

Anti - Glamour .... Guess the Glamour ?.

Anti - Glamour .... Guess the Glamour ?.

The truth always sets you free - it's just such a f**cker hearing it sometime and esp so when it rips the heart strings apart. And that's the type we all learn most from and grow most as people by and i mean that within the vein of my limited understanding of Buddhism and within my own faith frame work. There's lessons to be learned in pain, broken hearts and difficult truths if we chose to be taught by them. My Nan always said that in life when one door is slammed shut on you - 16 others will open up before you - and the key to life is to watch for those doors because they can be missed and else the misfortune traps you - find the one that opens to the best things and walk though it. The trick is to look for those 16 doors that are opening when one slams shut behind you. My Nan swore and lived by that and there's great truth there - i have found out by following her advise. And a truth i have added is that one of those doors you might just find a blessing that worth the most to you, and will turn out to be the most important to you, and it may be found just on the door step so watch you dont miss it in looking to far ahead because you may not recognise the blessing at 1st when it comes to you and will forever regret it if you let it pass.

Passion Flower Variation 1 .... 5.4 M.B

Passion Flower Variation 1 .... 5.4 M.B

Further submission to my application to The Foundation for Photo/Art in Hospitals at the Foundations request.

I have 2 further Passion Flower images to add, Marsh Lake re-edited in colour with some extra views of the lake ( also in colour ) as well as "The Unforgotten Path" being re-edited in colour. I am having some issues finding the original file so if it is lost i shall be commencing a new field trip to the shoot location. I has always considered doing so anyway as i think it could be fun to capture the scene in different seasons to see of the central image of the path takes on a differing visual image if the scene is viewed in different seasons ( and therefore taken in varying light which i am hoping will effect the mood of the the scene ). So if i can't find the original file in my back catalogue it affords me an excellent excuse to take a field trip up there so actually which is fine with me as its a beautiful location and i do try to find every excuse i can to wander up there .
