LightPaintingTools.com Tool Name Contest!!!
Well in the past month or so I have poured a TON of work into my latest tool! (Something that will match the look of the LED Lenser V24). After re-engineering my re-engineering several times! After running my mill and lathe almost non-stop the past few weeks! After working out details with circuit design and working out lots of new bells and whistles that would make an original V24 bow and chant that it is not worthy, I finally have it all worked out! I can say one thing for certain... Duplicating the look of the V24 turned out to be a bit larger task than I expected. Certainly not a matter of throwing some LEDs at an acrylic rod.
So... with just a few minor details to work out before making it available on www.LightPaintingTools.com, I am looking to name this awesome tool! And I would like YOUR help!!! I need something REALLY super cool, Catchy, easy to remember, something that everyone likes, and something that I like too! (That may be tougher than it sounds! ;-) )
To encourage a bit a participation in throwing out some possible names. I have something special in store for the person that comes up with the name I choose to use! It will remain a surprise for now but it will be worth it! I can promise you that! :-)
The new tool incorporates a micro-controller with 12 modes!
Red, Blue, Green, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, White, V24 mimic, Full color fade slow, Full color fade fast, 7 color switch (no fade). 7 color 1 second blink.
And there are already plans for a deluxe model that will have 36 modes! The tool also incorporates a rocker switch with momentary / off/ constant on positions, or "Rock And Roll" as ~jah put it! (Thanks ~jah!) An easy grip handle with controls mounted where you can easily find them in the dark! and yet one more surprise in the design that I will announce soon as well! ;-)
This shot was made with the new V24 Plus as I have been calling it (for lack of a better name) and also with the RGB LED Light Wand. (There are enough Light Wands and Light Sabers out there already don't you think!? ;-) ) And of course, my son Cameron was good enough to model for me once again! :-)
